Parental Involvement

Model Safe Behavior

Set a good example by practicing good cybersecurity habits. Kids are more likely to adopt safe practices if they see adults doing the same.

Create a Family Internet Safety Plan

Develop a plan with rules for online behavior, including what websites are allowed, how much screen time is appropriate, and how to handle online interactions.

Regular Check-Ins

Have regular conversations with kids about their online activities and any issues they might be encountering. This helps keep the lines of communications open.

Use Parental Controls

Utilize parental controls tools and software to help manage and monitor your child's online activity.  These tools can help enforce safety guidelines.
